Juventus defender Olof Mellberg is currently in
Athens finalising his transfer to Olympiakos, according to
reports.
The former Aston Villa stopper is expected to be unveiled as a
new Olympiakos player in the next 48 hours.
According to Greek paper Sportday, Mellberg will sign a
three-year contract at the Karaiskakis Stadium and Juve will
receive €2.5million (£2.2m).
The Sweden international left Villa last summer for Juventus,
but, as Fabio Cannavaro has now returned to the Turin club,
Mellberg is thought to be keen to guarantee himself first-team
football.
