Kuyt: We need a miracle

Dirk Kuyt believes Liverpool now need a miracle to win a
first league title for 19 years.
The Dutchman was in the thick of the action with some telling
crosses as Liverpool drew 4-4 against Arsenal on Tuesday to put a
serious dent in The Reds Premier League title challenge.
Rafa Benitez’s side lead Manchester United on goal difference
with the champions facing Portsmouth on Wednesday evening in the
first of their two games in hand.
Liverpool now have five games left in their locker to try and
prevent United joining them on a record 18 league titles in the
English top flight and Kuyt is not ready to throw in the towel.
“It’s harder after last night because we knew before the game
that we needed to win to keep the pressure on,” Kuyt said.
“”But at least we got a draw and didn’t lose and we have to keep
fighting until the very end.
“We have to hope for a miracle now as it has become more
difficult than it already was.
“But you have seen a team that has not given up and we will
never give up so let’s hope that a miracle can happen.
“It will be difficult but as long as we keep winning our games
then maybe they [United] will struggle.”
