Had Drogba taken his chances... Pool could have lost by 6 or maybe even 7 goals...

Chelsea were great last night... Its just amazing how with a different manager but with the same set of players made... Gerrard was mark out by Essien for the whole match until he had to go back deep to lose him. But once he moved forward a bit, Essien was sticking on him like his new girlfriend and never got too far away from him... In doing so, it effectively made Pool ineffective...

I honestly hope Chelsea win it this year if United don't... Cos they are a good side under Guus and deserve it... And I also don't think they are finish in the chase for the EPL title as well... I always believe they are United's main threat... Now we'll just have to wait and see...

Rafa as a tactician was out played by Guus in the Champion League game. Yes u have pointed out correctly that Essien did a good job in shutting down StevieG. This only shutdown Liverpool but did not gurantee the win, I think Guss planned the set piece winner. Liverpool is weak in the air and getting Ivanoic to be the target man for corner is a smart move. Chelsea has so many players with great header abilities like John Terry, Drogba, Ballack and even Alex, it will be easy to miss Ivanoic and leave him unguarded.

However, this is still the first game Rafa has played against Guus. While it will be a difficult task for Liverpool in the second leg, I can't wait to see what Rafa will do in the next game. After all he is a great tactician and this is his strong area.

manutd, chelsea, arsenal all in fa cup. Liverpool out.

manutd, chelsea, arsenal all in good position in UCL. Liverpool almost out?

Liverpool got owned by macheda. doh.

Yeah right, and Man U could find no answer against a "weak" Liverpool.

"Weak" Liverpool seemed to thrash teams 4-0, 4-1, 5-0 like its easy cake.

I admit, Liv'pool are not without weakness, so I am not surprised at the defeat to Chelsea. But it is not almost everywhere.

Liverpool beat manutd 4-1 because manutd's players were pretty much sleeping. And also, manutd got a red card. Get it?

Liverpool was also sleeping against chelsea. That's why they lost at anfield.

Liverpool have a false sense of security when they achieved good score for the last month.

Last week was a wake-up call for them that they need to fight to win.

As for next week, Bolton have shown Liverpool how to apply pressure on chelsea and break them.

It is dependent on Ah Ben to spur up his squad to achieve a win at stamford bridge.

It is a tall order for Liverpool to achieve and I dun really think they can do it cos chelsea defence is pretty strong.

Only positive that if they lose is that they can focus on the EPL title while MU and Chelsea have to fight it out for the other two cups.

Forget the CL...get the BPL...I think that is Rafa's and the player's main objective at the moment...They did not press Chelsea at all the other day...gave them too much possession...
