The Mirror claims
Mourinho has been told his own job is safe, and that he will be
given a £100 million transfer kitty. Manchester United defender
Nemanja Vidic, Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby and Tottenham’s
Jermaine Jenas are among those linked with Inter.
Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho, Mourinho’s two former
Chelsea lieutenants, are also reported to be in the Nerazzurri’s
wishlist. The Mirror quotes an Inter source saying: “Mourinho has
made the case that the club cannot hope to fight against the
English teams with the squad he was left with by Roberto
Mancini.
“They will have to be big changes but it seems Massimo Moratti
will give him the players he feels he needs.”
Mourinho, meanwhile, has escaped a touchline ban despite being
sent to the stands during the 2-0 victory over Sampdoria on
Sunday.
Mourinho was fined 10,000 euros and given a warning after
authorities found him guilty of “protesting theatrically against a
refereeing decision and coming out of his technical area.”
Speaking after that Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired victory,
Mourinho said: “With this character, my team will win the Scudetto.
"We played with great determination and spirit, so if we can
continue to do this then we will surely win the championship."
