Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten claims
that Manchester United are keen on signing Franck
Ribery.
The centre back has also stated that Barcelona are interested in
his French team-mate, who has been linked to the best clubs in
Europe since declaring that Bayern do not have the means to match
his ambitions.
Ribery, who has established himself as one of the finest
Bundesliga players, is contracted to the German champions until
2011.
Van Buyten told L’Equipe: “He is asking himself questions.
“Which human being would not if clubs such as Barcelona or
Manchester [United] were interested in him?
“As far as I’m concerned, I don’t have advice to give him, but
we do speak about it.
“What I do is just remind him that at Munich, he’s the
king.”
Ribery is fed up with questions about his future, and he said:
“I’m assailed by requests, people are only speaking about my
departure.
“It’s useless because I don’t want to speak about it anymore.
I’m getting tired.”
