Michael Ballack is adamant that reports claiming that he wants to
leave Chelsea couldn't be further off the
mark.
Speculation tipping the 32-year-old for a sentimental return to
Bayern Munich have been gathering steam, especially considering
that Ballack could be a free agent in the summer depending on
whether a one-year extension on his current contract is
exercised.
“I expect to be back next season and maybe even a few more years
after that as well," Ballack was quoted as saying in
The Sun.
"I’ve always said I can imagine finishing my career at Chelsea and,
right now, I think I will remain here.”
Ballack was one of the standout performers when Chelsea managed to
topple Juventus in Turin on Tuesday, and the hope amongst Blues
fans is that he will again hit full stride when every game really
matters, as was the case last season.
