Claudio Pizarro is yet to secure a permanent move from
Chelsea to Werder Bremen, according to sporting director Klaus
Allofs.
The Peru international, who is on loan in Germany, has become a
key player for Werder, scoring 11 goals in 16 Bundesliga games so
far.
The Bremen outfit are eager to thrash out terms with Chelsea
regarding a permanent move, but the player is going through some
personal issues that are not helping his cause.
Pizarro has been accused of embezzlement in his homeland and the
local authorities are investigating his accounts.
Allofs said: “For sporting, as well as human reasons we would
like to keep Claudio, but we have to wait for the investigation
that is in progress in Peru.”
