I happened to sit on the 3rd row just in front of the stage but still find it too loud. How I wished he could sing unplugged, since the place is not very big.

Went to Chinatown market to search for Jiang Hus album but cannot find Crying or Very sad . All those stall owners looked so old (sorry to say that!) I doubt they know who Jiang Hu is. Hajime, is the album consists of Jiang Hus songs only or its a compilation of many singers? I tried looking for Gun Shi recording also cannot find. But I tot Jiang Hu used to be under Polygram?

Didnt have a chance (or rather, I dare not) to ask HSX if he ever has an album to his own, but I do have the album Liu Xing Ge Qu which features Yan Liming and HSX. Theres only one duet called Jin Ye Shi Ni. Its the 6-CD compilation by Ocean Butterflies, but sound quality not so good. Think its recorded directly from cassette.

I like David Taos music too, but never own any of his. Not working, so no $$$ to spare. Why the company like that make money one?! So unethical. Mad

If you think Ai Qing Hai is loud, then MuChuan would be worse. The speakers are hooked up everywhere since the space is rather spread out so the sound can hit you from all directions. There are also TV screens showing the on-goings on the stage, as there are some seats which are rather far out from the stage so some people may not be able to see the stage. So can imagine the atmosphere is rather disengaging as compared to Ai Qing Hai. When it started more than a decade ago, it was only half the size so the ambience was so much cosier. What a pity...

I also had only heard about the JiangHu compilation but had not seen it for myself yet. May go look for it next week or the week after so tell you after I do get it.

Hmm, "Ni De Dao Ying" is by YLM and...HSX or Cai Jun Xiong? Haha I am bad at this...I also had the same compilation as you mentioned. Not all songs inside are great (recalled the English song sung by 3 guys, omg Razz ), but they detailed the long way Xinyao had come through and progressed so it was interesting. I think Liang WenFu compilations will be better if you are into the more advanced era of Xinyao.

If you haven't owned any of David Tao's albums, then I guess you can get his compilation though I feel individually, each of his albums are generally well worth the money.

For those who enjoy Cai Li Lian's singing, "LeeLian's Music Journey" will be coming up at the latter part of Sep at the Esplanade. Surprised

The event will feature Li Lian singing many good old Mandarin hits as well as Xinyao songs. Guest artiste is Joe Pang.

Hi Garfield! Sorry I made a few mistakes lah..So long never come in due to pc and server prob..I mistyped you as 'wisefool'..sorry..And I went to see mars lah! Aiyo my frens lor.....din tell me properly.....I can see mars every ngiht mah...go there and squeezed......siao leh...no sequence, so many people...we went there to chou4 re4 nao4 ba! My fren used her digicam to zoom in and recorded pics of mars lor....waiting for ehr to post online the pics..We left at about 11pm ba...reached home at about 12am bcos we went to KFC for a drink after that..

Found JiangHu's compilation at last at CD-RAMA, cost $16.90, but most of the songs I'm not familiar with. Saw at Tower Records seeling $22++! So much difference. Sorry lah! Haven't bought CD for a long long time cos no $. Always wait for husband to buy then I listen, else listen to radio stations. Smile

OK. Will recommend David Tao to husband and just wait for him to buy. Think he'll like it.

The "Lilian" event, how much is it? She got album ah? OK. Will look out for it.

Lilian's album was released in April, if I didn't remember wrongly. Though I think I prefer Joi Chua's voice nowadays... Cool

I bought Lilian's CD once it was out..the concert is $20. It lasts for 30mins only..

Are you sure you can't find Jiang Hu's CD? I will keep a lookout for you if I go Chinatown..

Very Happy I've bought Jiang Hu's CD *finally* from Chinatown, cost $15.90. A dollar cheaper than CD-RAMA but the $ has been used for parking Smile Have listened, but some songs sounded funny. Still like "Lian Zhi Qi" best.

Also bought Liang Wenfu's compilation. There's at least 5 different CD compilation of LWF but I bought the one by First Harvest/Touch Production, got more songs. His love/"shu qing" songs are still the best among other early Xinyao compositions.

Went MusicDreamer to support HSX last Sat. Noticed that he likes to sing 70's songs, especially Feng Feifei's "Xiang si hao bi xiao ma yi" (Thinking of you like an ant???), but nevermind, cos he sang "Cong Ni Hui Mou Na Tian Kai Shi" at the ending again Very Happy
