Immortality soon?

A type of jellyfish had been found that ith a life cycle in which it reverts to the polyp stage after becoming sexually mature.

Put in english, it means once it reaches adulthood, it revereses back to child, then grow up to adulthood, on and on - immortality!

Think Benjamin Button but minus the birth and death.

Now, if only our A star scholars will work on it, no one needs to grow old anymore. One can still die from trauma or diseases, but with our advances in sciences, diseases can be eradicated through genetic manipulation, along with this little jellyfish's genetic code's help.

er...we MAY be too late. Hollywood had always been a US govt tool sometimes to disseminate critical information, to watch for reactions.

This species of immortal jellyfish was discovered in 1996. Had amerian geneticists already discovered the gene of youth and ability to regenerate cells in old folks?

Perhaps, the movie Benjamin Button was a trial balloon to get reactions? It certainly had a curious but original storyline...
