Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez says he is keen
to stay at Old Trafford, but admits he is uncertain whether he will
still be at the club next season.
The diminutive Argentine forward has struggled to cement a
regular place in the English, European and World champions's
starting XI this campaign, with new signing Dimitar Berbatov often
preferred in attack.
And with Tevez's two-year loan deal at Old Trafford set to end
in the summer, with United yet to agree the £30 million fee due to
the investment group that handles the striker's affairs, the former
Boca Juniors man admits he is not certain what the future holds for
him.
"I do have a great feeling about Manchester United and, in
particular, the fans. I have a great affection for them and they
have made the feeling phenomenal," he told the Daily
Express.
"But at this point I am not sure if I will stay, not least because
it is not just my decision. It is up to Manchester to decide if
they want to keep me, and I have to decide what is right for my
career, for my future.
"This season I have been benched and I find that hard to understand
when I am not playing badly."
