well, minyao is more to songs from taiwan, like "lan hua cao",
"ye bai he ye you chun tian", "gan lan shu"... etc
xinyao are songs from singapore, during around 80's to 90's, sang
by singers like eric moo, shui cao san chong chang, li fei hui,
liang wen fu, yan li ming... etc
in min ge can ting, different groups of performers tend to perform
different sets of songs. Some only perform xinyao songs, with very
little pop songs. Some perform more pop songs with a little mix of
xinyao songs. finally, some groups have a good balance of xinyao
& pop songs! u have to see what suits your preference lor!
