Get a quote frm the borneo motors for the value of your old corolla, then see if it is selling higher outside. If yes, u will be better off selling off the car yourself. If no, or if the price is only marginally higher, u can save the trouble by trading in..

I just did that, exchanging Y2002 Corolla for Altis. Previously, bought Corolla then @ $80K Shocked (installment monthly is around S$700,7yr, S$50K loan). I got mine Altis @$51,988 abt a month back (yet to pay my 1st installemnt due next week, S$572 monthly, 5yrs loan, $30K). Just read advert on Strait Times and is going now @$60K (feeling lucky still Smile ). My COE given was @ $13K Laughing . The steering wheel are tend to be heavier, meaning more feel of the road. Suggest Idea you go for Ty VIOS or from Parallel Importer- Ty AXIO, the horsepower are same as Ty Altis(1.6cc), thou Wink is only 1.5cc engine. If you have decided to go for Ty Altis, look for sales staff, Ms.Pamela Teo @ LengKee Rd, she give very good sales services Cool , that how I got mine Laughing

ya, it is adviced to trade in.
My ride was a corolla, 2002 model, 1.5, no leather seats, no air bag, but just a sports rim.
Just trade in my for the lexus IS 250. Guess how much they willing to trade in my old corolla? 46K!!! meaning i only depreciate 5K a month considering a 2002 car, that's a good price!

I doubt you can find other scrap dealers that can offer u a better price than u trade in.

Stop being naive, Toyota Altis aren't as reliable, economical and efficient as you think.
Broaden your search horizons, go for more test drives and do research on your own on other marques.

Give credit where credit is due. What's the hype with Toyota's anyway.
