Deni lands Trotters trial
The tricky winger, 31, is a free agent after leaving
Palmeiras last month.
Trotters boss Gary Megson has moved quickly to bring
over Denilson for a week’s training at the Reebok.
He hit the headlines in 1998 when he signed for Real
Betis for £21million from Sao Paolo. Four years later, Denilson won
the World Cup under Chelsea boss Phil Scolari.
He has since had spells with Flamengo and Bordeaux.
Megson wants to sign a winger and had a £3m bid for
West Brom’s James Morrison rejected last week.
Sunderland star Kieran Richardson is also a target.
