Berbatov struck in the 69th minute for only his third league
goal of the season to record a 1-0 win that sank a stubborn
Middlesbrough team who had subdued Old Trafford with their dogged
display.
So dogged that Pogatetz even grabbed Ronaldo around the neck
late in the first half. Ronaldo was so incensed at not getting a
penalty that he chased Pogatetz as the teams left the pitch and
went eyeball to eyeball with the Austrian. The feud continued in
the tunnel.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Emmanuel Pogatetz lock
horns
This is the latest in a series of incidents involving Ronaldo,
who seems increasingly likely to react when fouled.
Ronaldo has clashed with Celtic's Scott Brown, Tottenham's
Michael Dawson and Andy Wilkinson, of Stoke City, in recent weeks.
He also earned a red card for two bookable offences against
Manchester City.
Pogatetz too has history with United. He was sent-off in the
Carling Cup tie between the sides earlier this season after a
knee-high lunge on Rodrigo Possebon.
