Now Malaysia would have to play for a win/draw in Thailand and
that is simply impossible.Bye Bye Malaysia.
They can't play for a draw, they have to beat Thailand cos Vietnam
is almost certainly to beat Laos, if not giving them a hiding.
And if the compeition rule is such that for tie of points the
next priority goes to head-to-head records, then the tigers are as
good as being out as they can't overtake vietnam and have to trash
the thais to have a superior goal difference. If next priority is
goal difference, then they can beat the thais by a small margin and
pray that vietnam do not trash laos by too huge a margin. Anyway
the realistic chance for malaysian tigers is damn small, so
probably have to see them next time.
Sg-Ind game would be a crunch match, to avoid the Thais who are
most likely grpB winners. Lions only need a draw, but do not count
the indonesians out, especially when they are the host and have a
brilliant strikeforce in Budi Sudarsono and Bambang Pamungkas.
By the way Agu Casmir is now tied with Budi at the top of the
goal scoring chart with 4 goals
