Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery, voted Bundesliga
player of the season last term, has committed himself to the German
champions despite reported interest from Chelsea.
The France international made a huge impression in the
Bundesliga last season, and continues to shine for Jurgen
Klinsmann’s outfit despite having suffered knee damage during the
summer.
Ribery, who has scored three times in the league so far this
term, has been linked with Chelsea, but appears to be very happy in
Bavaria.
“I felt good here last season, but the fact I am starting to
speak a better German is a huge help for daily life, even if it is
a tough language,” Ribery told L’Equipe.
“People love me here, so do I, because they are lovely and
respectful, they never cross the line.
“They are always polite when they ask you for an autograph,
which pleases me a lot.”
