It would be one helluva dream when all of Singapore only support the best team in the EPL (owned by SIngapore of course)

Short Ninja SG

Why won't Singapore or anyone from Singapore make an attempt to buy an EPL club???

deathwish SG

There were rumours Temasek wanted to buy Newcastle lol

Short Ninja SG

I want to hear good rumors like 'Singapore looking to buy all 4 EPL clubs Man U,Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea>LOL

Sienx SG

Gst will rise to 20% if they buy all 4 clubs salaries will stop rising

Short Ninja SG

If and when the PAP puts a Midas touch on any EPL team the sky is no limit.Unfortunately the LEEs are into Ping Pong.

PingPong cheaper ma... Win Olympics gif $750000 to the whole team... Win EPL give how many millions to the whole team... Somemore every season must invest in new players... Pingpong can last 8 years leh

zocoss SG

But pingpong got no return mah... No Tv deals, no huge sponsorships, no gate collections, no CL prize money... Somemore we must pay for all their stuff like housing, training, bring their family here, help look after them, all that stuff...

But pingpong is easier to manage lah... Just put any ah lian as president and leave it to auto run can liao...

deathwish SG

Later they buy EPL club then naturalise any good player who is not declared for into Singapore national team then our boys will sianz 1/2 lose their spot in national team liao =X

youyayu SG

cannot la siao...

later the club got ERP policy for the fans.... control crowd.. lmao

no too busy

I was thinking too…maybe our Temasek Holdings can buy one of the smaller clubs – eg: Bolton – since their home uniform is all white like PAP.

Given its a small club, outlay is not that high – then they can install a foreign coach / manager and put in ex-Army officers in the management. Then get them to play in Singapore every year (to occupy a bit the new sports hub lest it gathers cobwebs).

And with the cash injection, they can target a top five finish and Europe wow…

gasband SG

ya and send their reserve team to come play in S League.
