Avram Grant has settled his differences with owner and friend Roman
Abramovich and accepted a £3.5m payoff.
Their relationship had become strained following Grant’s sacking
in May, with Chelsea reluctant to pay the £5m compensation he was
due after he worked less than six months of the four-year contract
he signed in December.
