Didier Drogba has no plans to
leave Chelsea, at least according to his agent.
The powerful Ivorian has been persistently linked with a summer
switch away from Stamford Bridge, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and
Barcelona mooted as strong contenders for his signature.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has spoken this week of the
club's confidence in keeping Drogba in West London, and now his
words have been echoed by the player's representative.
Agent Tierno Seydhi claims Drogba has no desire to leave Chelsea
and that on the contrary, he is more than willing to see out the
remaining two years of his existing deal.
With seemingly no bid having been lodged for the 30-year-old, it
does now look as though Drogba will start the campaign in Chelsea
blue.
"The truth is there is nothing to say about his departure,"
Seydhi told Sport Ivoire.
"He has a contract with Chelsea; he is not close to joining any
other club."
