The Argentine ace is currently contracted to
Spanish side Real Zaragoza, but following their relegation from La
Liga, the talented playmaker has been linked with a move to St
James Park.
"Newcastle have asked about Aimar's situation - that is certain,"
agent Gustavo Mascardi told The Sunday Sun.
"There has still not been any formal offer for us and Zaragoza to
study, but the Premier League would be perfect for him, and I want
to speak with Newcastle United to take things forward."
