Cristiano Ronaldo and Robbie Keane continued their outstanding
seasons after scoring a hat-trick in the nominations for this
year's WKD Nuts Football Awards.
The star players, topping the shortlist with three nominations
each, go head-to-head for the coveted title of Hero of the Season
and the Special Award for Man Love, which honours players over
enthusiastic goalscoring public displays of affection.
Ronaldo also picks up a nomination for Goal of the Season, while
it's Keane's goal celebration that earns him a third nomination in
the Most WKD Goal celebration category.
Nuts sports editor Gershon Portnoi said: "Manchester United and
Arsenal may have picked up the most player nominations but it's
good to see that the top four clubs will not dominate everything
this season."
Voting opens at 8am on Tuesday, April 15 at
www.nuts.co.uk/football.
