before the final he said..
Inter boss Roberto Mancini stoked the rivalry with Milan by
suggesting the Club World Cup is little more than a friendly
tournament.
I am not supporting one side or the other. I cheer on Inter and
could do for Sampdoria and Lazio, the two teams I played for, but I
watch the others simply because I enjoy football, said Mancio
ahead of Sundays Final between the Rossoneri and Boca
Juniors.
AFTER the final..
The Rossoneri fans did not take kindly to this suggestion and after
the 4-2 victory in Yokohama this morning celebrated with effigies
of the trophy in front of the Inter headquarters.
I want to compliment Milan and Carlo Ancelotti, assured Mancini.
I did not want to offend anyone. I never said Milan were playing a
friendly, but rather that the old format with a one-off match was
much more enjoyable.
