Who are the ball players in the England squad?

Thing is,you and I know that the whole god damn team is at fault man. You cant possibly just let him shoulder all of the blame. It was obvious he was barely...

Marco_Simone SG

For the uninitiated,a ball player is one who has a good first touch, can dribble, pass long or short and keep possession well.

For now,I can only think of

Ferdinand
Rooney
Carrick
J.Cole

The rest are all blood and guts kind of players who often run like Forrest Gump(fast, lots of stamina and without direction) and will just hoof the ball up field and hope for the best.(especially Gerrard)

ferdinand???

Resentment SG

You dont even know the meaning of "ball player"... Rolling Eyes

Steve McMahamman would be a good example of a ball player.

u got to be kidding me! Laughing

rooney is termed as saviour of england by his countrymen. but he has a quick-temper whom might cause failure to the team. just look at his world cup performance by getting sent off which he could have avoid them.

n playing against russia, he helped them by giving them a penalty which costed england landed up to this sorry state.

rooney may be scoring goals for england, but his weakness is being young n reckless which may lead team to destruction.

HyuugaNeji SG

if ferdinand is a ball player, then i guess sol campbell and ashley cole are also ball players. (for defenders anyway)

The man who was death SG

gerrard is actually quite a good passer of the ball, he doesn't just hoof the ball up...

gareth barry is quite a ball player, just that he can't dribble....

i won't call the rest of the england squad blood and guts players, they're more like power and pace, and that's what modern football is all about now really...which is a bit of a pity that u dun see much of the likes of zola, le tissier, kinkladze, ginola nowadays....

micah richards and ashley cole make good runs down the wings so not all of them run around like headless chicken, even if they do i think the england fans would appreciate that more cos at least they're working hard!!!!

from here i can c tat TS is obviously a MU fan Laughing

Marco_Simone SG

Nothing to do with the mental side of the game.I am only talking about the technical aspects.

iceFatboy SG

I think gerrard and lampard are good ball players.

in the last wc, I think OwenH was quite good too.

I would scholes in that area too but he retired.

iceFatboy SG

go fly kite lah.

imagine you at his age and handling the expectations and you tell me about having a temper.

he gave away a penalty? why don't you think about who was supposed to be covering? what happened to the LB or LMF?? have you ever seen owen or henry run all the way back to tackle?

for me, as a MUFC fan, I won't want anything less of Rooney, his aggression, and his skills..

I think he already improved a lot since the past, and given his age, he can only get better.

Marco_Simone SG

These 2,I agree
