stated
Results in brackets show last meeting
Tuesday 4 December 2007
Due to Milan's Club World Cup commitments, the UEFA Champions
League Group Stages for clubs in Group D will come to an end 1 week
earlier than the other clubs.
FC Shakhtar Donetsk v SL Benfica
Live on Ch 24,
3.30AM
Benfica is already out, but they will need to win this one to stay
in Europe by entering the final 32 of the UEFA Cup.
Shakhtar will need to win this one and depend on Milan to win to
still be able to qualify for the last 16 on head-to-head results. A
loss would mean Shakhtar is completely out of European
competitions.
My prediction: Shakhtar 2 Benfica 0
A.C. Milan v Celtic FC
Live on Ch 23,
3.30AM
Milan, though they have lost the previous meeting in Glasgow, have
already qualified for the last 16. The Rossoneri will be looking to
round off their final home game with a win before travelling to
Japan for the Club World Cup.
Celtic need a single point to ensure qualification for Round 2, but
they have a very poor away record, losing 14 and drawing 1 game. A
loss would mean the Bhoys would need Benfica to beat
Shakhtar.
My prediction: Milan 3 Celtic 1
Left Out
Milan - Maldini, Serginho (both fatigued)

Celtic - Nakamura, Naylor, Wilson, Kennedy, Doumbe,

all-time top goalscorer.
