Cole's holiday offer for Ben Haim

Actually a draw would be the result the English team would need... cos England are now on 23 points with Russia on 21... Should Russia only manage a draw against Israel, England just have to beat Croatia at home and they are through.

To be fair, Croatia won't be easy but since they are at home... I think won't be too much of a problem. But to get a win in Israel isn't as simple either... Israel are quite a difficult side to beat in their own back yard... And Israel isn't completely out of the running yet either tho just the slimmest of chance...

Anyway, you shouldn't count your chickens first till you have seen all of them... Mr. Green

Of course there will always have some minority who wouldn't like England... But if Russia play i will rather sleep liao... Who would seriously bother to wake-up in the middle of the night to watch Russia play... Unless you are in retirement lor... Then i have nothing to say... Mr. Green

yeah i would, england have played boring football in recent tournaments so i'd rather watch russia, they have some exciting wingers in zhirkov, bystrov, torbinsky while the last exciting english winger i've seen was peter beagrie and he was 41 and playing for bradford. Laughing

although they're not as total football under hiddink as hiddink's previos side, but still exciting enough.

i think only if Cole ask Ben Haim to purposely lose the match then considered bribery.

But this time Cole's just giving Ben incentive to play extra hard to win the game. I cant remember, but a few months back a Chairman publicly came out to say he offered money to other teams to play even better against their rivals. Laughing

dunno leh, last time michael vana was charged for kelong for scoring against malaysia team. Twisted Evil

No it a reward! Bribery would be throwing the match in one's favour... He is asking him to win not lose... Can or not its still not guaranteed, but throwing a match is easier.
