Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Erikkson twice said sorry for the
humbling defeat at the hands of a rampant Chelsea at Stamford
Bridge.
A clearly ruffled Erikkson stated the obvious as he gave a damning
verdict of his sides defending this afternoon,
Well we obviously forgot how to defend,
If you give a team like Chelsea space and time like that, then
that will happen
Asked if he meant just the back-four, Sven responded that he laid
the blame of poor defending on the whole of the team,
Defensively, the whole 11 were bad,
We cant give no excuses we have to do better
And then came the hardest word,
I am sorry we are all sorry for that
Before issuing another apology, specifically, to the City
fans,
If you lose 6-0 then nothing is going right, and Im sorry for the
travelling fans, a lot of them came here not wanting what
happened
The Swede also hinted that Citys recent good form had maybe gone
to the heads of the players,
