Miguel Veloso's agent claims an English side has come
close to matching the Sporting starlet's release
clause.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder is a rising talent in Portugal
and both Manchester United and Arsenal have been credited with an
interest.
Although Veloso has a £20million release clause in his contract,
his agent Paulo Barbosa says a club from England has bid near that
mark.
Should the youngster's clause be met he could be the latest in a
long line of talents to leave the country, such as Cristiano
Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson, who have all joined The Red
Devils.
"There have been several contacts and several offers from England,"
Barbosa told the News of the World.
"I won't name the clubs but one of them was not far from his
buy-out clause.
"If there's agreement from Sporting and the player, it's possible
for him to leave.
"But there's no pressure or desire that it should happen yet."
