Liverpool face a fight to keep Peter Crouch, with Manchester City
and Italian giants Juventus both ready to make a move for the
England striker in January.
Crouch is considering his future and is stalling on signing a new
three-year contract.
He is unhappy at being fourth-choice striker at Liverpool this
season behind new signings Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin, plus
Dutchman Dirk Kuyt.
City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who gave Crouch his international
debut, wants another striker to replace the injured Valeri
Bojinov.
More surprisingly, Juventus, managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio
Ranieri, are also eyeing Crouchs situation.
But a move to Eastlands has obvious appeal to Macclesfield-born
Crouch as he is a City fan.
He is currently valued in the £8 million bracket.
But as he is out of contract at the end of next season, Liverpool
may have to take significantly less if they cant persuade him to
sign a new deal.
