A host of German clubs are ready to offer Jens Lehmann an escape
route from Arsenal. Hertha Berlin, VfB Stuttgart and Borussia
Moenchengladbach are all keeping tabs on Lehmann, who could quit
north London when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Germany keeper was furious at being dropped following a series
of high-profile gaff's last month and has been told by Wenger that
he is no longer the clubs number one.
Lehmann, 37, sat out yesterdays derby clash with Tottenham after
Wenger claimed he had suffered a bruised elbow while on
international duty.
The former AC Milan star is out of contract at the end of the
season and Arsenal are prepared to let him leave on a free
transfer.
