The consortium of wealthy American businessmen, who also included
Jurgen Klinsmann among their number, have withdrawn from
negotiations to launch a takeover of Tottenham Hotspur, ruling out
the former White Hart Lane superstar as a possible future
manager.
'Things seemed to be progressing nicely but as soon as Klinsmann's
name was mentioned the price went through the roof,'said an
insider. That now leaves three other groups jostling for position
in the power battle for the club.
