$120 fine + 3 demerit points

I don’t know is this the right forum to share my problem but I want to give it a shot.
In the early Feb, I went to the POSB ATM machine to draw my money and along the road, it was a single zig zag line, I stopped there for a few minutes, get off my motorcycle and went to queue up await for my turn. I did not realize that the person issuing fine is camping there and he got my plate number. When I return to my bike, I see him zoom off from the scene and I told myself I’m in deep shit.
A week later, 3 days after CNY, I receive a fine letter, it was $120 and a 3 deremit points. I make a trip down to TP in ubin and make an appeal but was unsuccessfully. My mother then suggest seeking help from the MP, I act accordingly and the MP also write an appeal letter for me, I told them that it’s partly my mistakes and asking them if it could reduce the amount of fine, and then I receive another letter from the TP saying that it is receiving attention and await for furthur instruction, that was in early March and recently the TP responded and say appeal not successfully, fine again $120.
Right now, I don’t know what to do. I’m now working as a part timer and await for school commencing in August and I’m independent, my parents don’t support me anymore. $120 is quite a sum huge to me. Friends tell me to paid up and fark off from it but $120….I’m still struggling. What can be done? Or anyone is having the same situation as me? plz advise…

Just take it as an expensive lesson and pay the fine. If you don't, you might end up having to pay more for late fees. The fine will only increase.....

You cannot appeal unless the offence was not as serious as it is stated in your fine or there was a technical fault(like In-vehicle unit).

Your appeal was probably rejected because you are supposed to know that stopping there is prohibited but you did it despite knowing.

Well, you can have 2 alternatives.

1) Suck thumb and pay the fine,

2) Challange the system and don't pay.

when you test the system, there are chances of it passing and failing. when the system fails, theres a price to pay. this time it failed, so just pay. based on your reasoning, i will also reject your appeal.

if u get a fine for lets say at the loading bay, u can appeal. because u CAN park there otherwise wtf is the loading bay for?

u want to ask for a reduced fine? can... when u kena court case. that one u can ask for reduction because fines there minimum $700.

Well, you can have 2 alternatives.

2) Challange the system and don't pay.

well, i have a friend that goes through erp with out cash card. when letter came, is 10+$, never pay, 70$. 7x different. but i think urs cant appeal because urs is dangerous. i park void deck kena 100$ summon can appeal to mp. but if u student and u not enough cash, then for this 1 month really, scrimp and save or get pt job?
