Nigeria legend Okocha set to join Hull
Hull will hold a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to announce
the signing of former Bolton star Jay-Jay Okocha.
The Nigerian midfielder, 34, has been without a club since leaving
Qatar SC and will once again work under Phil Brown, who was the
assistant manager at Bolton, where he had a successful four-year
spell before leaving last year.
Tigers boss Brown feels Okocha's arrival will give his side the
additional creative flair they are lacking.
Brown, whose side lost 2-1 at Blackpool on Monday night, said: 'We
have had talks and there will be a press conference at Hull with
Jay-Jay.
'He is the sort of player who will give us the creativity we need
in midfield. Blackpool had that sort of player in the lad Wes
Hoolahan and that was the difference between the sides. He could
stand on the ball and make things happen.'
