Sevilla are considering signing Real Madrid right-back Cicinho as a
replacement for Chelsea-bound defender Daniel Alves.
Despite Sevilla turning down an offer from Chelsea on Thursday for
the transfer of Brazilian right-back Alves, the player's future
remains up in the air.
The Andalusian club have already expressed an interest in
27-year-old Brazilian Cicinho, who is seen as the ideal candidate
to replace Alves.
Cicinho, who has been placed on Madrid's transfer list, has
revealed he would welcome a move to Sevilla although he is also
considering an offer from Roma.
"If Real Madrid and Sevilla reach an agreement that satisfies both
sides it would be perfect," said Cicinho.
"Right now I am still a Real Madrid player and I awaiting what my
agent and Real Madrid sporting director Pedrag Mijatovic
decide.
"It's true that I have several offers, Roma have called me and it
is a club that I like, just as Sevilla is."
