Championship - Owls make shock Kluivert move
Patrick Kluivert could be in line for a shock move to Sheffield
Wednesday, after the Championship side offered the former Dutch
international a trial.
The 31-year-old played for PSV Eindhoven last season but was
released this summer, and Owls boss Brian Laws says he wants to
have a look at the player.
"I have a strong contact in Holland who is Kluivert's agent," he
told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"We've invited the boy down and I want to run the rule over him. It
is just a possibility and is nothing concrete at the moment but
we've made an enquiry."
Kluivert has 79 caps for Holland, scoring 40 goals, and has played
for the likes of Milan, Ajax, Barcelona and Valencia.
He also had a short spell in the Premiership with Newcastle United,
scoring six times in 14 appearances.
