Liverpool Consider Madrid B Starlet
Rafa Benítez is keen to add another Spanish player to the Liverpool
ranks after showing an interest in Real Madrid Castilla star Javi
García.
García is a key figure on the Madrid B team and is also being
watched by Mallorca, Getafe and Deportivo, all of whom have made
contact with his agent, Manuel García Quilón.
Despite another impressive season, García has been told that he
will not be promoted to Bernd Schuster's first-team squad and is
unhappy.
While Adrián González, Jordi Codina, Rubén De la Red, Alberto
Bueno, and Esteban Granero have been moved up, the Spain Under-19
international is set to spend another season in the B team.
Madrid have offered García a new one-year deal, but that is likely
to fall on daef ears and the quartet of clubs are now ready to
pounce.
Benítez wants to sign the poweful midfielder and then loan him out
to a Spanish or English top flight club in order to gain experience
at the highest level.
The trio of clubs from la Primera are prepared to promise García
first-team football straight away and that could prove to be
decisive.
