No, anybody in the top 4 or even 5 is entitle to win. This time
around it much more different from the last 3 yrs cos it not just
one club (chelsea) doing the spending... Pool has spent a good sum
already, Spurs is not far behind, and Arsenal are not finish yet
too... But unlike the last 3 yrs, where only chelsea were doing the
big spending... Everyone else is doing so for next season, even
West Ham... a club from the bottom of the table.
Never before have we seen so many clubs spending big on players and
the reason is because the pot money has increase, and I am not just
saying for winning the premiership title but also just keeping your
premiership status and the returns is already $50m
and this
doesnt even take into account your season long match days gate
collections
So you see dear GP, the only reason Chelsea has spent a little
lesser this season is because they have spent so much over the last
3 seasons that they probably dont need to buy too many this time
around
Some of the players they have signed may be free but they
are certainly not bad players, Chelsea just took advantage of their
end of contract status to get them
But chances are none will be
first team players
cos they already have a full squad of first
team members
BTW, Alex isnt free if you care to know how he got
to PSV

And If you also care to take a look at the amount Chelsea have
spent
$213.75m in the last 3 seasons
compare to uniteds
$73.55m
what is this seasons
even if they were to buy 2 times
over they will still lack far behind

Anyway, spending big money doesn't guarantee you will win the title
otherwise chelsea would have won it last season's by a mile... $83m
no title... United $20m ( 4 x lesser) Champions...
.
2004 Drogba - $24m, Tiago Mendes $10m - Jaroík $7m - Ricardo
Carvalho $19.85m - Paulo Ferreira $ 13.2m = 74.05
2005 Essien - $24.4m, Asier del Horno $8m - SWP $21m, Lassana
Diarra $3m =56.4
2006 Shevchenko - $30.8m, Mikel John Obi $16m - Salomon Kalou
$8-10m - Khalid Boulahrouz $8.5m - A Cole $20m = 83.3m
Total: $213.75m
2004
May Alan Smith £7.05 m, Gabriel Heinze £6.9 million, Liam Miller
(Free), Wayne Rooney £20m
2005
Park Ji Sung, £4m, Edwin van der Sar, £2m, Nemaja Vidic £7m,
Patrice Evra £5.5m.
2006-07
Tomasz Kuszczak £2.5m, Michael Carrick (~£14-18.6 million)
Total: $73.55m
Anyway, if you want to call man u favourite... Its up to you lor, i
just thought Pool and Spurs also have a decent chance apart from
chelsea... But i wouldn't mind tho... But i was just surprise you
suddenly become so humble... No more chelsea this, chelsea that...
sure win this, sure win that, by 3 - nil lah, by 4 - nil lah... I
think those humble pie you had taken during last season's Bolton
& Newcastle matches seem to have a good effect...
