Rafa Benitez is understood to be meeting the Liverpool
board this week to get definitive answers over transfer funds this
summer.
Amazingly, the Reds are still yet to make a senior capture this
close season despite the manager expecting to get major transfer
funds from the new American owners.
A number of transfer targets have reportedly slipped the net so far
because of high asking prices and Benitez has indicated his
frustration at a lack of activity at Anfield.
The manager has always stated that he would like to do his transfer
dealings as early as possible in the summer, so that the whole
squad is in place for him to work with when the players return for
pre-season training.
