Charlton striker Darren Bent could be set to snub a move
to Liverpool in favour of a switch to Tottenham this
summer.

The News of the World claims that Bent will make a £12m move to
White Hart Lane in the next few weeks as Martin Jol prepares to
start a £24m transfer spree.
The 23-year-old turned down West Ham last week and was immediately
touted as a potential big-money signing for Anfield chief Rafa
Benitez.
However, it is thought that Bent would prefer to remain in the
capital, and long-term admirers Spurs are ready to pounce.
Jol is also ready to step up his efforts to snap up West Brom
defender Curtis Davies for a fee in the region of £6m, with
Tottenham duo Wayne Routledge and Anthony Gardner heading in the
opposite direction as part of the deal.
Jol will reportedly end his summer spending by signing Feyenoord
left-back Royston Drenthe and French midfielder Biaise Matuidi from
Troyes.
