Premiership - Middlesbrough in for Tuncay
Premiership - Middlesbrough are reported to be lining up a bid for
Fenerbahce's out-of-contract forward Tuncay Sanli.
The 25-year-old would be the first attacking signing following the
recent departures of trio Mark Viduka, Malcolm Christie and Massimo
Maccarone.
The Evening Gazette claim that chief executive Keith Lamb has flown
to Istanbul to meet the player after he made clear his desire to
play in England.
Tuncay has scored 12 goals in 38 games for Turkey and can play on
the wing or through the middle.
Boro, meanwhile, have also been linked with a move for Levante's
Dutch winger Mustapha Riga, but reports in Spain claim he has
signed a new deal with the Valencia-based club.
