Well, first understand what causes the bad reputation. And yes, i can't change the people because i am lazy.

I don't wish to go around sharing with everyone about what is the proper way to do business.

But that doesn't mean i can't change my downline.

There is more reasons to associate with them than reputation and changing people.

I have seen doctors, businessman, lawyers that join mlm. Are they stupid? No, in fact they are more clever than us.

Example in his book on rich dad poor dad:
he said "it's fear that keeps most people working at a job"

a few pages later, he tells you
“many rich people are rich not because of desire but because of fear.”

and a few pages later
“rich people with lots of money often have more fear the richer they get.”

He has simple factual mistakes too
"A corporation can do so many things that an individual cannot. Like pay for expenses before it pays taxes."

Yet both corporations and sole proprietors pay expenses before they pay taxes. Sole proprietors pay taxes only on the net income of their businesses, which means after expenses.

Well. I have read up on all the complain made by john creed on robert. The list is too long and i don't wish to go through the details.

Since he himself have a couple of lawsuit against him and he lost all of them.
So im rather doubtful against his posting as well.

yes, its a double sided sword. In this case it can be used for good. You just need to know where your conscious lies.

Now you are still new to the game, so you are still bogged down by what your uplines have told you. You are still "motivated" by them because of their NLP. Given the state of the economy right now, I doubt you will see much success initially.

You may say no success, you still have other sources of income (which I expect it to be another job, pardon me if I'm wrong). In fact, by saying that, you have already subconsciously implanted "no success" inside yourself. People usually succeed because it is a must. You are already not making it a must.

In short, I'm not against MLM system as a whole. My motive is to get forumers like you to wake up your idea (just read my other posts). The way you prove your point is already illogical (just because 3rd party with vested interest say so), yet you persist in it. Like what Warren Buffett said, he never believe in what analysts (or banks) have to say because they have vested interest. Surely Warren Buffett will give even more credibility than your Robert Kiyosaki (who claimed he could earn more than WB if he wanted). Like duh.

You do need to read up more, and not only that, read objectively and fully, not selectively as you have done.

Learning and applying things halfway and selectively like you will bring little success.

And lastly, you know one thing? You will be the one on the losing end by being so stubborn-minded not to learn and accept opinions here because you are in the industry, and defending it so stubbornly. Even I don't do that for those different areas I earn from (engineering, education, equities, websites). Now. Motivation is one key area to sucess isn't it. Esp in sales job. All the top sales person are passionate and motivated individual.

Let me share a story with you. I have this friend who told me he got laughed at by his schoolmates when he was in ITE, when he told them he will study uni one day. He went on to graduate from NUS with a bachelor degree. During uni, he part-timed as a property agent (in 2007) and made a killing. If he were to tell me he will succeed in MLM, I will believe. You?

As long as you haven't successfully applied any of the theories and understandings you have here, what you said here are merely empty talks.

Apply it, succeed in it, then it will give you credibiltiy. You don't get better by knowing theories, but by successfully applying them.

Example, I'm applying what I have learned in channel trading, and earned quite a bit in it as mentioned in another sub-forum. I put my hard earned cash down to apply it, and succeed. Easily 1k + monthly without much effort if you understand what's the probability and the risk/reward ratio. But I'm still not like you, coming here and telling people they should do this do that, and assuming others have not read this or that, and this is especially rude when you are just a new sign-up.

MLM is not for everyone...

it is for a small number of ppl to earn money from the majority who doesn't...

theres no point in being an upline if you dun have many downline and if you are one of those downlines, the only way you can earn much is if you area above...

most companies will "advice" new agents to invest in the company...

imagine if you were to buy a product which costs around 1k or 2k from the company...in order for you to make money, you'd have to sell a large amount of products to cover that cost since "commision" is relatively low...now you add the expenses you use during your time working and i bet you ain't be really making any dough...rather just covering up for the losses you made...

most victims these days are youths, young and inexperienced individuals, told by their uplines that its a free and easy job when its a fact that it is actually time consuming...

at the end of the day, those hours they clocked in mlm could actually be used to find more decent jobs could actually earn them more than wot they can sell in a month...

Less than 50% of new start up biz will failed in the next 5 years according to statistic so obviously with your mentality of mostly lost money, then don't even look into mlm cause you will sure fail.

Save them the trouble of even explaining.

and thats wot i think the nature of MLM is...its not a bad thing depending on wot we do with it...but it nevertheless is being exploited and practiced badly...

another thing you can compare it to is an army...

the only person who truly make money are the generals and country in the case of MLM, the SDM and owner of the company...

all the frontlines are used as pawns with hope that one day they will rise to the rank of generals...most of them die and only a few make it to that rank...

From the replies I see from most of the get-rich-wannabes MLMers that come to this forum, I get the uneasy feeling that the 'uplines' are actually using NLP techniques to 'program' these people into their robots.

i.e.
"pple who leave the company are quitters"
"you will earn a lot of passive income; that's income without working much"

Basically, these words prey on the mentality of most youngsters:
i) On the strawberry generation: Earn money by working hard, and find a lot of downlines; then after that you don't need to work hard, just need your downlines to help you generate passive income
ii) On the rebellious nature of youngsters: Don't listen to pple who don't support you; they are just jealous.
