Hutchings releases another
Wigan Athletic's new boss Chris Hutchings has allowed Arjan de
Zeeuw to follow David Unsworth out of The JJB exit door.
Unsworth, who scored the crucial penalty in the win at Sheffield
United, was freed earlier on Thursday and now De Zeeuw has also
departed.
The Dutch defender made over 200 appearances in two spells for the
club and Hutchings has praised his efforts for the club over the
years.
"Arjan has been a wonderful servant to Wigan, a true leader on and
off the field and has been a major player for us in two spells
here," he told the club's official website.
"He is definitely one of the best professionals I have ever worked
with during my time in football and I wish him all the best in the
future."
