Nothing special about Mourinho, says Wenger

Mock at you? why do you look at it like that? Why are you so defensive? The thing is since you took a stand on it and have not admitted otherwise, I was only...

Frenchman says it takes five years to prove worth Champions League trophy does not make you 'great'

Arsène Wenger last night stoked the simmering relationship between Arsenal and Chelsea by reminding Jose Mourinho that winning the Champions League with Porto in 2004 does not to make him a "great" manager. The London rivals meet in Sunday's Carling Cup final at the Millennium Stadium and Wenger has responded to Mourinho's jibe about Arsenal's record in Europe's elite club competition by launching a thinly veiled attack on the Portuguese.

"Plenty of managers have won the Champions League who will not be considered great managers," he said. "What is important is that you look at their careers in 10, 15 or 20 years. What kind of quality have you brought through in your work and on how consistent a level have you done it? If you would like to compare every manager you give each one the same amount of resources and say: 'you have that for five years'. After five years you see who has done the most."

Mourinho once said...

"I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea." - on Arsène Wenger

Wenger threaten to sue him... then he apologise... Laughing

WENGER IN NEW SWIPE AT JOSE

ARSENE WENGER has stepped up his war of words with Jose Mourinho as Arsenal prepare to face Chelsea in Sunday's Carling Cup Final.

The Gunners manager launched a thinly-veiled attack on his Stamford Bridge counterpart, as he accused some managers of "jumping on the table" about their achievements.

And he claimed some French third division bosses could be just as good as the Blues chief.

Mourinho took a pot-shot at his bitter rival this week for never having won the Champions League.

But in a clear dig at the huge amount of cash Mourinho has spent during his Stamford Bridge reign, Wenger last night claimed the only way of assessing managerial greatness would be to give bosses the same resources and judge them over five years.

Wah... you come here to disturb me ah... If i am not wrong, this should be my first ever reply to you... At least what i posted was reported and to be true too. Unlike some, creating stories from their own little minds... at the very least i am still aware of the laws of the game or try to learn about it unlike some people who are totally ignorant of it and when pointed out to them continue to embarrass themselves by making silly statements...

I recall not too long ago there was this guy in Sports who said you don't need to get the ball across the opponent's half first when you start a game... and it made him looked so silly. But if you must know... This is also very much in the same class as that... Laughing

In future whenever you post silly things again... we all here can remind you of your very own "free-kick rule" how come so different from Uefa's free-kick rule ah? Embarassed

If your intend is to flame me, i suggest you pick on someone you can handle... Cos unlike in Sports, flaming is not encourage here and I reserve the right not reply to people who has no credibility anymore... Errr... how do you take a free-kick ah? This could be a punch-line for you in future from all the fun loving guys you go around "beating up"... Mr. Green

Don't come here if you only want to flame people... But if you want to post proper discussion, you are more than welcome.

those fellas fun to watch Laughing

but then, wenger has a point.. Chelsea has looked very ordinary once a few key players were injured.. great managers have ways of overcoming these things.. but Mourinho has been shown the vulnerabilities...

despite Abramovich's chequebook, he was unable to do anything much..

saying that, his is an unenviable position.. no matter what he does, he'll be labelled as one who bought the success...

i wonder.. what if Abramovich leaves? Chelsea may go the way of Leeds...

Aiyo, i tired to talk to you, but you make me laugh sometimes... You ask yourself... if they are not making the news then no one can create any news on them right? Like i have said earlier, i only post news that were publish unlike some people who are so creative as we see in Sports coming up with their own titles, some even have foul language on them... But of course they don't dare to use their real account so... Create clones lah. (i am not implying its you ah, so don't anyhow assume)

As to your take on my beloved... I only have one at the moment leh and it not man u... Mr. Green If you must know, i already have very little time and i post news on any or every team/clubs that is worth the thread... there is no need for favouritism... Anyone can post whatever they want, it don't necessary have to always come from me right... Anyway, don't you know there is already someone doing that job very well? Yes, our friendly neighbourhood blue guy... isn't he doing a great job already? So why do i need to double it?

And I where got hide... you can find me here every other day just like you have found me right now isn't it? and if you can recall the last time i posted in Sports you and that blue guy kpkb remember? Like that i where dare to go there... i don't like to create trouble leh, you can see its not my style i never post in those clones created senseless threads... So if i go Pool forum even worst right... You never invite me wait i post there you delete my post how? waste my time right... Mr. Green

Hey anyway, i wanted to ask you... how come you have your own "free-kick rule" ah ?

And how come its so different from Uefa's free-kick rule? Embarassed

YNWA welcome everyone, dat include u too, even if negative topics are welcome if they do have a point. unlike u pple who rebuke non-fans who try to reason out here or in manu forum.

the reason why the ABU fans not coming here are becos u pple handle things immature way that's why they post in sport forum.
