Dutch prosecutors yesterday called for a 10-month jail sentence
for Guus Hiddink, currently Russia's national football coach, on
tax fraud charges. Prosecutors, who began legal proceedings last
July, say Hiddink evaded almost 1.4m (£900,000) in Dutch taxes
while falsely claiming he was a resident of Belgium in 2002 and
2003. A verdict is due on February 27.
