Singapore Football Association President Ho Peng Kee has asked
Singaporeans to travel to Bangkok on Sunday to support the Lions in
their second-leg match against Thailand, but to be cautious, stay
together as a group, and don't provoke or aggravate the Thai
supporters.
Na beh! Ji seow-ing the opposite side is part of the whole
enjoyment of football! But nehmine. Its not worth going to war
over.
Here are some recommended chants that Singaporeans can yell, which
shouldnt inflame the Thais, unless theyre kiam pak to begin
with:
Instead of Referee Kayu: chant Loti Kaya
Instead of Balik Kampung: chant We like Patpong
Instead of Olé, Olé: chant Boleh, Boleh-boleh-boleh, Boleh,
Boleh
Instead of We Will, We Will Rock You: chant We Dint, We Dint
Buy You
Substitute Sorry for Singapore, wherever possible: e.g.,
clap-clap, clap-clap-clap, clap-clap-clap-clap, SORRY!
Instead of Glory, Glory Singapura: chant Sorry, Sorry,
Singapura
Instead of One Singapura, Theres Only One Singapura: chant Dumb
Singaporeans, Were Only Dumb Singaporeans
And if we win, instead of singing We are the Champions: chant
Were All Just Tourists
And heres a politically correct version of the old cheer
"Welo:
Welo, welo, welo, welo, welo, welo!
Everywhere we go-oh
People want to know-oh
Who we a-are
Where we come from
So we tell them
Were not from Singapore
Greedy, greedy Singapore
Welo, welo, welo, welo, welo, welo!
