Arsene Wenger has hit out at Chelsea for their lack of 'economic
responsibility'.
Rumours are continuing to circulate about Jose Mourinho's future
amid reports that he has stopped seeing eye-to-eye with billionaire
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Wenger admits that he could never work under the constraints which
have left Mourinho on the brink of leaving Stamford Bridge.
But he also feels that Mourinho has been wasteful in the transfer
market.
"If I left Arsenal tomorrow having won the League but the club
£200million in debt, I wouldn't feel very proud," Wenger told The
Sun.
"The way I work is always the same, I don't have any interference
from the board.
"The difference is I want to win the championship and make the club
£50m, then I've done the right job.
"I have been educated to understand that when you have ten pounds
you don't spend eleven and I've respected that all my life in both
football and my private life."
