Traore seals Pompey switch
By Chris Stanton - Created on 11 Jan 2007
Portsmouth have completed the signing of Charlton defender Djimi
Traore.
The left-back moves to Fratton Park on a two-and-a-half year
contract for a deal reported to be worth £1million to The
Addicks.
Traore becomes manager Harry Redknapp's second signing of the
January transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who only joined Charlton from Liverpool last
summer, is joined on the South Coast by France Under 21 midfielder
Arnold Mvuemba.
Mvuemba joined Pompey in a loan deal until the end of the season
earlier this week.
Traore's place at Charlton seems certain to be taken by Manchester
City's Ben Thatcher, who is on the verge of completing a move
south.
