NEWCASTLE, Jan 10 (SW) Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder
could make a surprise move for West Ham Uniteds defender Anton
Ferdinand.
Roeder could see Ferdinand as the answer to bolstering Newcastles
vulnerable defence.
Things may not be that easy though as both Chelsea and Tottenham
Hotspur may also want to sign the twenty one year old defender
because of the injury crises that have plagued both clubs
recently.
