Sheva must quit Chelsea now

ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO has been told: Joining Chelsea was the biggest mistake of your life so get out now.

Shevs former boss at Dynamo Kiev, Igor Surkis, wants the £30.8million flop to return to the Ukraine.

Kiev president Surkis, who sold Shevchenko to AC Milan in 1999, said: Going to Chelsea was the biggest mistake in Andriys career.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi will never take Andriy back.

"I hope Ill be able to offer Sheva a deal that will allow him to return to Dynamo.

Is all his stupid wife’s fault… How can a footballer let his wife take charge of his career? Is all her stupid wife recommendation to go london and play football. Thinking the slighly higher pay will let her buy more prada.. Hahaha..

Somehow i have a feeling its chelsea’s tactics that dont quite suit ballack and sheva….

UandMe SG

How can blame the wife. Everyone thought Sheva was the world's best striker at that time, how could she have expected him to be the biggest flop after coming to EPL.

I guess the only winner out of this is AC Milan... Where to get $30.8 million for a 30 yrs old player...

Mourinho said this on the day shev signed:

"Today is a day when the dream became reality. Andriy has always been my first choice for Chelsea since I arrived. Before it was not possible, now it is for real.

He has great qualities, ambition, discipline, tactical awareness and of course he is a great goalscorer. I did not need to meet with him to convince him about Chelsea, in the same way we did not need to talk a lot about why I wanted him. Everybody knows him as a player, tactically he can play in the Chelsea system no doubt"

- No doubt? None at all?

cant blame his wife for wanting to go to london. she is american and britain is the closest they can get.

frankly sheva has nothing to lose. he is already 30. not many strikers remain prolific at this age. every dollar he is making at chelsea is like a bonus.

RaTtY8l SG

oh man y do they always take cameo pics of chelsea players... Laughing

zocoss SG

Yeah true... where can you find a weekly salary of $125,000. I guess he thought that this would be his last contract so might as well get as much as possible otherwise after his playing days are over, where to get this kind of money weekly?

Whatever it is, he is made for the next 3 yrs regardless he plays well or not, stay at chelsea or not. cos his contract cover him for another 2 yrs plus. Even if he is to move to another club and that club cannot afford his weekly 125,000... Chelsea will still have to make up the difference like they did with Veron & Crespo... Veron's contract will only end in August 2007 and Crespo's August 2008. Chelsea is still paying part of their salaries even tho they have long left the club.. Rolling Eyes

dragg SG

its good since RA doesnt care about the money.

zenden9 SG

U forget abt the commercial sponsorship money, goal scoring bonus and appearance fee plus championship winning fee if u are still in yr peak.. By mere looking at higher salaries is a very short term gain. At the 30,he still got much to offer.

zocoss SG

Yeah yeah, but he seems to be starting to care abit about it leh... $13m also don't want to pay for Micah Richards... barking at the price... Surprised

Too critical...

Chelsea's system has been switching almost every year to suit the stars they brought in - very similar to how Real Madrid work which didn't bring them ANY success AT ALL.

I think Chelsea should buy the players they need and not players just because that are World-class and World Famous.

See how Ballack and Sheva struggles?

Cheers.

Two classic quotes from Rafa Benitez

"we have a problem, a table with 3 legs so we must buy a perfectly fitting leg. Chelsea have the same problem. The only difference is that they buy lots of differently sized gold plated legs."

"I don't know how much money the other teams will spend and whether they will sign the right players. You don't need to buy the best leg for your table. You need to buy the leg you need for your table"

Great quote.

And izzit jus me or Chelsea buys players so other clubs cant get them?
