Internazionale supremo Massimo Moratti has reportedly launched a
bid to persuade Luis Figo to remain in Serie A.
Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad have already announced the capture of
the Portuguese international, who is set to team up with his new
owners on 5th January.
But with the clock ticking on his time at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza,
it seems the Nerazzurri have now decided to make a counter
offer.
Figo's contract with Inter is set to expire in June, but Moratti
could now be set to offer him a season's extension to stay in
Italy.
The 34-year-old is now thought to be reconsidering his options
before making a final decision on his future at the beginning of
the New Year.
