zocoss SG Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes ensured Manchester United would be top of the Barclays Premiership on Christmas Day as the leaders won 3-0 at Aston Villa. ASTON VILLA 0-3 MANCHESTER UNITED After a goalless first half, Ronaldo wasted little time putting United ahead, running 40 yards, seeing his first shot blocked, and following up to score past on-loan goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly. United doubled their advantage after Scholes volleyed in one of the goals of the season, waiting for a clearance to drop 25 yards out before blasting home via the underside of the crossbar. Ronaldo ended any doubt over the result when he tapped Gary Nevilles cross into an empty net five minutes from time.
dragg SG man u didnt look like scoring until that silly mistake by villa that led to ronaldo's opening goal.
T.Ryousuke SG Better to put all in one thread, less mistake. I also din know my mistake until I watch the Man U game.
zocoss SG Ok i think next time all go into 1 thread will do... Even MOTW predictions also in the same thread, this way less confusion. Unless its Super Sunday may have its own thread. Only interesting matches may have its own thread for forumers to post their views and goals reports. Predictions will be with the main thread along with the rest. Thanks for the feedback.
zocoss SG Maybe its because they got no one else better to play in there? and McCann and Petrov can cover the midfield... But Angel did come on what... Anyway, they are going through a bad run... 7 w/o a win and next up... Tue, Spurs away.
zocoss SG Aston Villa 0 Manchester United 3 SIR ALEX FERGUSON admitted he was delighted with the response shown by Manchester United after the Premiership leaders brushed aside Aston Villa. Despite crashing to defeat the previous weekend at West Ham, United punished Villa through two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo a wonder strike from Paul Scholes. Ferguson said: I think it is always a test when you lose a game. But I think theyve answered it right away - it was a fantastic performance by them. Aston Villa boss Martin ONeill rued some costly mistakes made by his young side that prompted Uniteds convincing win. ONeill said: "You make mistakes against top quality sides and you'll remember them. We've got a lot of young players in the side and that sort of experience will bring them on immensely.
The man who was death SG got bouma mah!!! he's fit already!!! why angel come on when baros did well against bolton last week?? there's no width with davis and petrov playing wide.....and petrov has been hit and miss for a long time already.... we're lacking attacking players and barry is still being used as left back, davis out of position and hendrie still out on loan....i dun understand o'neill and i think he got his tactics wrong in the last few games....and he has sentiment for sutton and petrov for sure....never subs them early or drop them unless they're injured or not fit even when they haven't perform really well and there's like baros to bring on.
